The Community Defense Liaison Office (CDLO), a successor agency to the Guam Buildup Office, serves as the central point of contact for all Department of Defense (DoD) growth and activities on Guam.
- Serves as a Liaison: The CDLO is the primary contact point for all DoD activities, providing policy guidance from the Office of the Governor to Government of Guam agencies.
- Coordinates with Agencies: We provide guidance to Government of Guam agencies on strategic initiatives tied to military growth and work closely with Joint Region Marianas to coordinate with all military branches
- Oversees DoD Initiatives: The CDLO monitors and recommends strategies to support the Marine relocation and the Asia Pacific rebalancing of DoD forces, ensuring that Guam's civilian community benefits from all economic activity.
- Manages Federal Grants: CDLO receives and manages grants awarded by the Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation (OLDCC) acting as a central clearinghouse for all federal actions related to DoD realignments and the buildup on Guam.
